Tips For Selecting a Date:
For outdoor sports, shooting with sunlight will typically yield better results than under the lights. Evening or morning when the sun is lower is a plus.
For many sports, shooting from non-standard spectator areas produces the best results. Home events are preferred for that reason to make access to those areas more likely.
Please make sure to communicate plans with your Coaches. They can be very helpful in achieving the best results. For teams that have a social media presence, all pictures from the event may be used by you or the team for posting, which I’ve found many of them appreicate.
Consider the venue where the event will take place, and if there’s anything that would present a challenge I should be aware of. This typically isn’t an issue, but a couple examples would be small pool decks that limit access or baseball fields with tall fences down both lines. Shooting through netting or fencing won’t yield good results.
If you’re needing pictures by a specific date, be aware it may take 2 – 3 days to complete sorting and editing before your gallery is posted.
